Corona creates panic in Punjab, 50 lives lost in a day

Chandigarh: Continuation of deaths due to COVID-19 infection continues in Punjab. On Monday, 50 people died due to infection. So far 1453 people have died due to infection in the state. On Monday, 1280 people undergoing treatment in various hospitals have been discharged.

According to the Health Department, 5 people died in Amritsar, one each in Fatehgarh Sahib, Fazilka, Gurdaspur, Moga, five in Hoshiarpur, three in Jalandhar, four in Kapurthala, 18 in Ludhiana and 10 in SAS Nagar.  A sample of 16535 people was taken across the state on Monday, of which 1541 people reported positive. Also 202 in Jalandhar, 180 in Patiala, 118 in Amritsar, 102 in SAS Nagar, 231 in Bathinda, 75 in Gurdaspur, 42 in Ferozepur. , 23 in Moga, 44 in Hoshiarpur, 35 in Pathankot, 58 in Barnala, 25 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 33 in Kapurthala, 32 in Faridkot, 5 in Tarn Taran, 16 in Ropar, 3 in Fazilka, 11 in SBS Nagar and 44 in Mansa. The report has come out positive.

The health department has received samples of 1062667 people, out of which positive reports of 53992 people have come. Simultaneously, 37027 people infected have been recovered and sent back home. At present, there are 15512 active cases in the state. In the same Muktsar, the figures of COVID-19 patients are continuously increasing. With this, there is a continuous increase in the cases of corona in the state.
