55% of health workers get second dose of corona vaccine, many lost their lives

New Delhi: More than 18.5 lakh health workers, who received their first dose of vaccines since the commencement of the corona vaccination campaign, have been vaccinated as the second and final dose, while 2,44,511 received the second shot. On Thursday, the Union Health Ministry gave this news. So far, the second dose vaccination comprises 55.23 percent of health workers who, according to ministry data, are eligible to receive their second dose of the vaccine.

A total of 18,60,859 health workers have been vaccinated with the second dose as of 25 February. In the middle, at 6 pm, 3,95,884 vaccine doses were given to the healthcare and frontline employees through 12,988 sessions. According to the last report shared by the ministry, Thursday was the 41st day of nationwide corona vaccination. Of this, 98,382 beneficiaries were vaccinated for the first dose and 63,458 received the second dose of vaccines. In the meantime, the vaccine dosage figure has reached 1,30,67,047 in the entire India.

"These include 65,82,007, 46,24,181 frontline employees, and 18,60,859 persons who took the first dose, who took the second dose," the ministry said. Five cases of the incident after vaccination (AFFI) 1 dose-related to vaccination and 3 cases related to 2 doses have been reported. Seven states and union territories have given the first dose to more than 80 percent of the registered first healthcare commentators. These are Bihar, Odisha, Tripura, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands. The ministry also said that 45 deaths have been recorded among the vaccine beneficiaries so far, 23 deaths in the hospital and 22 out, while 51 have been admitted to the hospital so far, out of which 26 have been discharged after treatment, two have been treated. It is going on, and 23 people have died.
