Uttarakhand CM's OSD Abhay Rawat tested COVID19 positive

Dehradun: After the COVID19 positive report of OSD Abhay Rawat, the activities of Uttarakhand CM office and CM housing have stopped again for the next three days. CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has gone into self-isolation as a precaution. He will stay away from departmental meetings and public function. This is the second time in a fortnight that the state cabinet meeting had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 positive case.

In the same week, the meeting of the cabinet was postponed after the CM's staff and a private security officer tested COVID-19 positive. CM himself went into isolation for three days. He got the COVID-19 test done twice. His report came negative both times. On Tuesday, his OSD Abhay Rawat's report came positive after the COVID-19 test. Subsequently, as precautionary, offices in the CM Secretariat and offices in the residence were closed. 

On the other hand, cases of COVID-19 infection are increasing rapidly in the state. On Tuesday, 571 new infected patients have been found in the state. The number of infected patients has now crossed 20 thousand. There are a total of Six thousand active cases. On the other hand, the death of infected patients has also been increased. Today 11 patients have died. In this, five in AIIMS Rishikesh, one in Doon Medical College, one in Sri Mahant Indresh Hospital and four in Sushila Tiwari Medical College Haldwani died while undergoing treatment. 280 corona patients have died in the state.
