Corona infected in Mongolian delegation met Venkaiah Naidu, stirred up Omicron

New Delhi: One of the 23-member delegations from Mongolia to Bodh Gaya in Bihar has been found infected with corona. The RT-PCR report has created a stir from Delhi to Bihar as it came out positive. The delegation, led by Mongolia's Parliament Speaker Gombojv Jhandanshatar, also met Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday.

Gaya District Collector Abhishek Singh said that the infected member has been admitted to the isolation ward of Magadh Medical College. Doctors say, 'The sample will also be sent out for examination so that proper information about the Omicron can be ascertained. The patient has now been isolated for 10 days. The 23-member delegation along with the Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament arrived on December 2. Everyone had reached here through Delhi. They were also accorded a grand welcome in Delhi. They had antigen and RT-PCR tests at Gaya airport but were not quarantined, while the Government of India has clearly ordered that every foreigner will be quarantined when they come to India.

Foreign guests also visited the shrine of Lord Buddha at the Dungeshwari mountain in Bodh Gaya. After this, they also had visited and bowed to Lord Buddha in the Mahabodhi temple. The entire team of district administration was also present with them for their hospitality.
