New Delhi: With 421 new cases of coronavirus infection reported on Saturday in the central police forces under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the total number of infected people has crossed 10,000. This information has come out from the latest data released by the ministry. Out of these, more than 5 thousand soldiers are now infection free. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, these cases have come up in 17 security forces, including CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, NSG and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). According to the PTI report, as per the latest data, 10,259 cases of infection have been registered in these forces so far, out of which 4,687 personnel are undergoing treatment while the rest have become infection free. So far 44 personnel have died in these forces due to this deadly virus. According to the data, CRPF has the highest number of infections at 3,341, followed by 3,164 in BSF, 1,639 in CISF, 1,132 in ITBP, 507 in SSB, 393 in NDRF and 92 in NSG. According to this, out of 421 new cases surfaced on Saturday, 141 in BSF, 100 in CRPF, 84 in ITBP, 68 in CISF, 23 in SSB, 4 in NDRF, one new case has been registered in NSG.
