Delta Plus variant adds to woes after corona infection, lockdown may reimpose in this state

Mumbai: New positive cases are continuously declining across the country amid the corona epidemic, but corona delta plus variants have added to the problems and Maharashtra has reported the most cases. Delta Plus Variant has been tagged as 'Worrying Nature' (VOC) by the Central Government and if the cases escalate further, the Government of Maharashtra may be forced to impose a ban once again in the state.

According to reports, the state government held a cabinet meeting on the issue on Thursday (June 24th) after delta plus variant cases came up in several cities of Maharashtra. The meeting discussed once again the imposition of lockdown across the state. In the meeting, the State Health Ministry informed experts and ministers on the issue of the new version and expressed serious concern over its presence. It is being said that sanctions may be announced soon if the situation continues.

According to the report, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope had earlier said that delta plus variants have knocked out seven cities in the state and several cases have come to light. At the same time, he had also stated that the officers are separating such cases and tracing the travel history of the infected. Rajesh Tope said the state government has decided to send samples for genome sequence study. He further said, "So far no patient infected with Delta Plus variant has died. Such symptoms and treatments are similar.''
