Let us tell you that 2,994 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in Maharashtra on Friday and seven patients died due to the pandemic. Yes, during this period, 191 new cases were reported in Himachal Pradesh and 101 new infections were found in Jammu and Kashmir. A Maharashtra health department official said that after the new cases were reported, the total number of infections has gone up to 79,98,673 and the death toll has reached 1,47,971. Two patients each died in Mumbai and Vasai-Virar and one each in Thane, Raigad and Aurangabad on the last day due to the pandemic.

The number of infections had crossed two crores on May 4 last year and three crores on June 23, 2021, and on January 25 this year, the cases crossed four crores.
