NEW DELHI: Priyanka Vadra, the National General Secretary of the Congress, is seen tweeting about the court's verdict in the Pehlu Khan murder case. Based on Priyanka Vadra's tweets and media reports, Alwar's lawyer Jitendra Sharma had filed a complaint of insult to the judiciary in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court. The court will hear Sharma's complaint against Priyanka today. The petitioner Jitendra Sharma said that the Hon'ble Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge No.1 had given its verdict in the Pehlu Khan case on August 14, 2019. The court had acquitted all the accused in the case. Since the said case was related to mob lynching, the sentiments of Hindus and Muslims were related to the matter. He said the court had passed the verdict and in such a situation the court's decision should have been welcomed. Sharma said if any party was dissatisfied with the court's decision, it had the right to appeal to the lawful upper court, but the remark made by Priyanka Vadra was unwarranted. He said Priyanka Vadra is the national general secretary of the Congress party and any of her statements may agitate public sentiments. The matter is scheduled to be heard in the court today.
