Davis Cup finals postponed due to Corona virus

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Davis Cup finals, to be held in November this year, have been postponed until next year. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) officially confirmed this on Friday. There has been no change in the venue of the tournament and as before, Madrid will host the tournament, only the date has been changed to 22 November 2021.

"The decision to postpone the tournament has been taken after reviewing the logical and regulatory challenges of the last three months," the ITF said in a statement.

The ITF also said that 24 home and away matches of World Group 1 and 48 national teams of World Group 2 have also been postponed till next year. These matches were to be held in September this year. Now they will be organized in March or September.
