Former England and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has praised the club's current captain Jordan Henderson after winning the historic title of the English Premier League (EPL). Liverpool clinched the English Premier League title after Chelsea beat Manchester City 2–1 on Thursday night. Liverpool have managed to end their title drought after 30 years. Klopp's team won the title with a 23-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.

Gerrard shared a photo of Henderson on his Instagram, praising Henderson's achievements. He wrote with his post, "There can be no better person than this. Proud of you, friend." Henderson and his teammates have won the Champions League, UEAFA Super Cup, FIFA World Cup and Premier League titles during the past 12 months.

After ensuring the title win, Henderson said in an interview to the club's website, "It's a great feeling, to be honest it's hard to tell but it felt great after the final whistle. Finally winning the title was a It is a pleasant feeling." He had said, "I can never describe the feeling of winning the Premier League in the same way that I cannot win the Champions League. It is a different feeling and I am proud of it." The captain had said, "I am honored to be a part of the journey I have gone with this manager, players, fans since I first came to this club. It is special." Liverpool have the 19th title and have yet to play seven more matches in the league.
