COVID curbs in Haryana extended until February 10th

Haryana : On Wednesday (January 26), the Haryana government extended Covid-related restrictions in the state until February 10, but permitted retail malls and markets to stay open until 7:00 p.m., prolonging the relaxation by one hour.

Initially, the Haryana State Disaster Management Authority (HSDMA) said in an earlier order issued on January 13 that various restrictions imposed by the January 5 order in some districts, which had seen a large spike in cases, were imposed in all districts.

According to the HSDMA directive dated January 26, the guidelines issued by orders on January 5, 10, 13, and 18 have now been extended until February 10. The limits, which had been extended until January 28, will now be in effect until 5:00 a.m. on February 10th, as per an earlier ruling.

Malls and markets can now stay open until 7:00 p.m., up from 6:00 p.m. previously. Shops selling essential items such as milk and medicine, on the other hand, will be permitted to remain open at all times in order to serve the general public.

The Haryana government has already prohibited mass gatherings of people, such as rallies and protests, on January 10. The prior directive published on January 5 said that cinema halls, theatres, and multiplexes would remain closed. It had said that all sports facilities, swimming pools, gyms, and stadiums must remain closed unless they are used for training of athletes for participation in national and international tournaments.
