New Delhi: India seen a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases as it recorded 20,139 new infections, ie 19% higher than yesterday, in the last 24 hours, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Thursday. In the past 24 hours, 16,482 recoveries were reported, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,30,28,356. According to the latest government data, 38 new fatalities have brought India's COVID-19 death toll to 5,25,557. 3,94,774 COVID samples in total were examined throughout this time.
