New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed that India reported 861 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with a daily case positive rate of 0.32 percent. There are 11,058 current cases in the country, accounting for 0.03 percent of all cases. The Ministry reports that 929 COVID patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries in the country to 4,25,03,383. The recovery rate is 98.76 percent. During this time, six people died from the virus. With this, the country's dead toll has risen to 5,21,691. On Sunday, a total of 2,71,211 COVID samples were tested. Till date, the country has tested 79.41 crore tests. In India, the weekly positivity rate is 0.23 percent. During the said period, 2,44,870 doses of COVID vaccine shots were provided as part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. So far, a total of 1,85,74,18,827 vaccination doses have been given out in the country. As part of the nationwide vaccination campaign, the Indian government has been supplying free COVID vaccines to states and union territories.
