New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on Monday that India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed 166.03 crores, with more over 28 lakh vaccine doses administered in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recorded 2,09,918 new COVID-19 cases and 959 fatalities across India in the last 24 hours. As a result, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 4,13,02,440, with 18,31,268 active cases accounting for 4.43 percent of all cases. The COVID-19 fatalities, on the other hand, increased, bringing the country's total death toll to 4,95,050. The pandemic claimed the lives of 893 people in the country on Monday. In the last 24 hours, 2,62,628 new recoveries were added, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 3,89,76,122. The current recovery rate is 94.37 percent. A daily positivity rate of 15.77 percent was reported out of 13,31,198 COVID-19 tests completed in the last 24 hours. In addition, the weekly positive rate was 15.75 percent.
