THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala's state health department said on Sunday that it had received 51,570 new Covid cases from 1,03,366 samples analysed, and also 14 more deaths.
In total, 5,27,362 persons are being monitored in various parts of the state, with 5,14,734 being placed under home quarantine and 12,628 being admitted to hospitals. According to the statement, 47,776 people were infected through contact, with 439 health workers among the new cases.
With 9,704 new cases, Ernakulam led the way, followed by Thrissur with 7,289 new cases.Thiruvananthapuram recorded 5,746 new cases, Kottayam 3,889, Kozhikode 3,872 cases, Kollam 3,836, Palakkad 3,412, Alappuzha 2,861, Malappuram 2,796, Pathanamthitta 2,517, Kannur 1,976, Idukki 1,566, Wayanad 1,388 cases, and Kasargod had 769.
