Currency Ban: Desperate rush for cash continued a week outside the ATMs

New Delhi: It’s been one week, after the shocking announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes to curb black money. People are still in panic state as they have wait for hours in a long queue outside banks and ATMs.

A young man who spent nearly two hours outside bank said, "Good first step to take out black money. We are facing inconvenience... I have been standing in queue for a long time but this will last only for short time".

PM Modi said in a huge congregation at Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, "By turning 500, 1000 notes into worthless paper, I have removed economic disparity. I am trying my best to do whatever I can to lessen your difficulties".

Till Now, 3 trillion rupees were received by the Banks in the first four days since the demonetization of Currency.
