New Zealand was woken up to a thunderous earthquake that was effected regular life very badly. Private Aircrafts and along with Air force helicopters joined the rescue operations to provide necessary items to the tourists staying in the town of Kaikoura, on the northeast of the South Island.
Kaikoura city, best known for its scenic countryside beauty and whale activities alongside coast area is closed as the roads are blocked because of the landslides that happened early morning on Monday. Several aftershocks were suffered which were major and minor both. Emergency management authorities have warned that these shocks will continue.
Some edible items and clean drinking water is provided to ensure the people’s health in crisis. Two people have died since the earthquake hit New Zealand.
