Jerusalem, November 22, 2024 – Israeli Military Claims Successful Raid, Eliminates Five Hamas Militants in Northern Gaza
The Israeli military announced on Friday that it had "eliminated" five Hamas militants, including two key commanders, during an overnight raid in northern Gaza. The operation took place in the Beit Lahia area.
According to the military and the Shin Bet security agency, the targeted militants included a commander from Hamas's elite Nukhba commando unit and another company commander who were involved in the October 7 massacre, which led to the outbreak of the ongoing Gaza conflict. The statement further claimed that the slain militants were responsible for the murders and kidnappings that occurred in the vicinity of Mefalsim, a kibbutz located in southern Israel.
This operation marks another significant development in the ongoing military campaign as Israel seeks to dismantle Hamas's leadership and infrastructure.
