The cyclonic storm 'Jawad' in the Bay of West Bengal has turned into a deep depression. According to the Met department (IMD), the cyclonic storm has weakened even before reaching the Puri coast. Das said the Orange Alert is likely to bring heavy rainfall in Mayurbhanj, Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts. Heavy rain is expected in Kendujhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Cuttack, Khurda and Puri districts under yellow alert. Fishermen are also prohibited from going to the sea areas by December 6 for fishing and laying nets. Das said that due to Cyclone Jawad, heavy rain has been recorded in all the districts of Odisha for the last 24 hours.
