Darbhanga: A priest in Darbhanga, Bihar, grabbed a woman who came to worship at a temple and hit her by holding her hair. The temple committee has taken action against the priest after the video of the case went viral on social media. The temple committee is said to be investigating the case. Till then priest has been removed from the temple works. On the threshold of the popular Mother Shyama Mai temple in Darbhanga's raj complex, the temple priest grabbed a woman's hair and thrashed her. Someone made a video of a priest beating which is now going viral on social media at a rapid pace. As soon as the priest's actions went viral on social media, the temple management has immediately removed the priest from work. However, no complaint has been received from the woman so far and the woman has not been identified so far. The incident is said to have taken place two days ago. The woman insisted on going inside the temple and worshipping Mother Shyama Mai, but the doors of the temple were closed to the general public due to corona guidelines. The woman was adamant about opening the closed gates of the temple. That is what led to a quarrel. At the time of the fight, the angry temple priest grabbed the woman's hair and thrashed her. Confirming the video, temple manager Chaudhary Hemchandra Roy said that it is not right to treat any woman like this. An explanation has been sought from the temple priest.
