Know why PM Modi's wife Jasoda Ben gave the priest Rs 101 as 'Dakshina'

A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, his wife Jasoda Ben visited the Kalyaneshwari temple in Asansol to offer prayers. According to the information received, Jasoda Ben reached the temple at around 12.45 pm and prayed for her husband on Tuesday. 

According to media reports, after worshiping at the mother Kalyaneshwari temple, she also worshiped in the Shiva temple. After this she left for Dhanbad. Tight security arrangements were made in the temple premises for his arrival. ACP West Shantabrata Chand himself, in-charge of two other police stations including Salanpur-Kulti, IC of Chowringhee and Kalyaneshwari police posts and DG Vijay Dhanbad of Dhanbad were present in the security. 

For your information, Jasoda Ben gave 101 rupees as 'Dakshina'. Jasoda Ben was also accompanied by his brother Ashok Modi and personal secretary Anuj Sharma. It is worth noting that the state BJP leadership was not informed about the arrival of Jasoda Ben. When Buddhadeb Bhattacharya was the Chief Minister of Bengal, he also had his wife worshipped at that time. Jasoda Ben has also performed worship at the Betahi Ramraj temple in Dhanbad.
