Deadly Fire in Krishna Nagar: Three Lives Lost and Ten Injured

New Delhi: In a tragic incident in Krishna Nagar, Delhi, a house fire claimed the lives of three people and injured ten others. The fire started late at night in the Chhachhi building, located near the Bank of India on Street Number One. The blaze, which originated in the parking lot and engulfed 11 motorcycles, spread to the first floor and filled the upper floors with smoke.

Firefighters managed to control the fire using five fire tenders. Upon arrival, they discovered the burnt body of 66-year-old Parmila Shad on the first floor and rescued 12 people from the upper floors. The survivors were taken to various hospitals. Tragically, Keshav Sharma, 18, and Anju Sharma, 34, succumbed to their injuries at GTB Hospital, while Devendra, 41, in critical condition, was referred to Max Hospital. Additionally, Ruchika, 38, and Sonam Shad, 38, were admitted to Hedgewar Hospital.

This incident follows another severe fire at a baby care unit in Vivek Vihar on Saturday night, which resulted in the death of seven children out of the twelve who were rescued. The fire broke out at approximately 11:32 PM in the Baby Care Center near ITI, Vivek Vihar. Nine fire tenders were deployed to tackle the blaze in the 120-yard building. The cause of the fire remains unknown, with five children still hospitalized, one of whom is on a ventilator.
