Defending champion Naomi Osaka crashes out of Australia Open

Defending champion Naomi Osaka suffered an upset at the Australian Open 2022 on Friday. In the women's singles event, japan's star player also suffered a 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (10-5) defeat at the hands of Amanda Anisimova of the United States in the third round.

According to reports, 4-time Grand Slam champion Osaka got off to a good start and won the first set, but even after that, world number 60 Anisimova came back strongly and made a big upset of the tournament by winning 2 consecutive sets.

In the other women's category, top seed Ashley Barty retained her superb form to advance to the fourth round.
