Defence minister Rajnath Singh meeting gave free hand to the army against china

New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh held a high-level meeting on Sunday over the ongoing border dispute between India and China. In this meeting, he reviewed the situation and preparedness in Ladakh with Chief Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat and the heads of the three armies.

Giving information, the sources said that in the meeting, the armed forces have been given full freedom to deal with any aggressive attitude of the Chinese Army on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Indian forces have been asked to be fully prepared to respond to any of China’s mischief in East Ladakh and other sectors. At the same time, top military officials were instructed to keep a close watch on China's movement in the ground front, airspace and strategic sea lanes. According to sources, from now onwards India will adopt different strategic methods to protect the border with China.

Sources said that it has been decided in the meeting that India does not promote tension on LAC, but if other parties do, they will be given a befitting reply. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had earlier held meetings with the three army chiefs over the China dispute. Water, land and air force are on full alert after the conflict in Galvan valley.
