Washington: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo targeted China at a virtual summit. At the Virtual 2020 Copenhagen Democracy Summit on Friday, Mike Pompeo said that European countries have to decide whether they choose Beijing or Washington. Pompeo said that this option is not for America but between freedom and tyranny. In a virtual meeting, Pompeo called the Communist Party of China "rogue".

As reported by the Global Times, Pompeo's speech in Copenhagen was not intended to be a discussion with European countries, but to convince his European allies and demand them to be drawn to Washington. There is no doubt that European countries are closer to America than China, but now the question is why Washington is asking Europe to choose its side and why it is ready to throw away European interests. America is asking a lot from Europe today. However, it would be difficult for Washington to achieve such a goal.

Washington will eventually learn that he works hard to isolate China, but will actually separate himself in many respects. The Global Times has said that the United States is forcing the world, urging the world, just as it did with Taiwan officials and Australia. America is powerful, but it will fail because it is talking to other countries about its interest.
