Dehradun: A gang man who cheated youth of crores of rupees by giving fake appointment letters for recruitment to the post of clerk and GD in the Army has been arrested by the STF from Dehradun. The names of three more gang members have come to light. STF is also trying to arrest them. According to STF, 20 persons have been confirmed cheating by the gang so far. The gang used to target persons from Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor and Delhi in UP who wanted to be a vacationer in the army. On the same SSP, STF Ajay Singh said that STF received information that a gang of youth cheating in the name of getting jobs in the army is active in Dehradun. On which a team of STF and Army Intelligence collected information in this regard. It was learnt that a gang man lives in Dehradun. He describes himself as a lieutenant in the army. On the STF of the informers, the gang member was reported to be around Balliwala Chowk. After which the STF arrested the culprit. The culprit was identified as Ankur Kumar's son Sompal Singh resident of Union Bank Lane, near Wildlife Institute Chandrabani. Three more gang members Ankit resident Dhampur (Bijnor), Gavaskar Chauhan alias Ashu resident Amroha and Nipendra Chauhan alias Kanchan Chauhan resident Amroha have also been named in the interrogation. STF has dispatched teams to arrest them. In the interrogation, the criminal said that he used to become an Army lieutenant to assure the youth. Other members of the gang used to become doctors etc. Thereafter, his gang used to target people like Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor and Delhi in UP who wanted to join the army. After this, he used to grab lakhs of rupees by giving fake appointment letters to the youth for recruitment in clerks, GD.
