New Delhi: A woman Constable of Delhi Police has accused Delhi Police Sub Inspector Manoj of drugging and raping her at Munirka police station in the national capital. The victim's constable has accused sub-inspector Manoj of taking obscene pictures of her after the rape and blackmailing her. Police have registered a case against the accused sub-inspector on the complaint of the victim constable.
The woman constable alleged that during night duty sub-inspector Manoj took her to a room in Munirka where she was drugged and raped. According to information provided by police sources, the victim constable and the accused sub-inspector were earlier posted in the same police station. However, the accused sub-inspector has not been arrested by Delhi police so far. In another case, a woman Constable of Delhi Police committed suicide by hanging herself on Tuesday.
A woman policeman named Sangeeta was posted at the Delhi Police Headquarters. She hanged herself to death inside his house in the Palam area. The cause of suicide is yet to be revealed. The matter is under investigation. The deceased girl was reportedly engaged. When the fiance didn't pick up the phone, he reached home where he saw the girl's body hanging and informed the police. The fiance is also posted in Delhi Police. The deceased was a resident of Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan.
