Delhi to get first consignment of Sputnik-V by June: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Monday termed vaccination as crucial in the war against corona virus and said the first consignment of Russia's corona vaccine Sputnik V is likely to be received by the national capital in June. Kejriwal said there are 944 cases of black fungus in Delhi. Out of these, 300 patients are undergoing treatment in Central Government hospitals.

In fact, Kejriwal was present at a school in Delhi where he was to launch a special vaccination drive for journalists and their families. Here, he told the press, "We have launched this vaccination campaign for journalists and their families. There was a demand from journalists to launch a special drive for them. Immunization is being introduced for people in the age group of 18-44 years and for people above the age of 45 years. I urge all journalists to come forward in large numbers and get vaccinated. It is only through vaccination that you can protect yourself from corona virus infection".

CM Kejriwal said that at present 944 cases of black fungus have been reported in Delhi. "There are 944 patients of black fungus infection in Delhi, out of which 300 patients are admitted to central government hospitals. There is a large scale shortage of medicines. We received 1,000 injections on Saturday and nothing on Sunday".
