'Manish Sisodia should resign..,' Delhi Congress protests strongly after CBI raid

New Delhi: The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) protested fiercely against Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia after the CBI raided it. Congress leaders have demanded the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia during this period. The CBI on Friday carried out searches at deputy CM Manish Sisodia's residence and 30 other places in connection with irregularities in the Delhi excise policy.

 

During this time, the CBI team stayed at the deputy CM's house for 14 hours. The CBI has also registered an FIR in the case, naming Manish Sisodia and four excise officials. Sisodia has been named as the main accused in the case. It is being told that some secret documents have also been recovered during the investigation. Apart from this, CBI officials have also seized Manish Sisodia's phone, laptop and some files of the department and took it with them.

In fact, the CBI had started raids in 7 states including Manish Sisodia's residence from 8 am. At the same time, AAP leader Manish Sisodia tweeted about the immediate arrival of the officers. The CBI has claimed that Rs 1 crore was allegedly given to the company of Sisodia's close associate. At the same time, after the CBI raid, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had said that after searching for several hours, his computer and mobile phone have been confiscated, along with some files.
