Delhi Govt extends timeline for applying for nursery admissions at private institutions

New Delhi: In view  of the current Covid scenario, the Delhi government has extended the application deadline for nursery admissions in private schools by two weeks, according to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The application season for nursery admissions in over 1,800 private schools around the national capital opened on December 15 and was set to close on January 7. "Due to the current Covid conditions, the deadline for filing applications for admission in nursery and entry level classes in private Delhi schools has been extended for another two weeks," Sisodia tweeted. The admission schedule was announced by the Directorate of Education (DoE) last month. After a delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, admission to entry-level classes for the preceding academic session resumed in February 2021. This year's timetable, on the other hand, was consistent with previous years.

The first list of selected children will be posted on February 4th, as per the announced timeline. A second list will be released on February 21 and a final list for admission, if any, will be released on March 15. On March 31, the full admissions process will be completed.
