New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has banned advertisements linking 'Corona Beer' with 'Corona Virus'. Troubled by sharing Corona beer with the Corona epidemic and sharing it on social media, the beer-making company reached the Delhi High Court. The court found that the beer-making company is reputed and sells beer under the name Corona Beer in many countries. The company had said in court that it is business and image is being affected by these types of advertisements. The company stated in its argument that long before the outbreak of Corona infection, they were selling their beer in the market under the brand name "Corona Beer". The company claimed in court that an advertisement was shown on Facebook on behalf of a company associating Corona beer with the Corona epidemic, which has significantly affected the company's business. The High Court observed that "Corona" is a registered trademark of the company under which beer is being sold and Corona Beer is suffering commercial losses due to the display of such advertisements. The court said in its order that if such advertisements are not banned, the company will be forced to bear further business losses. The company showing the advertisement has been ordered by the court to remove such advertisement on Facebook. If any employee, agent, officer related to the company promotes this advertisement among the public then strict legal action will be taken against them.
