Hearing on Shah Faisal's petition adjourned, September 12 is fixed as the next date!

New Delhi: The hearing has been adjourned today in the Delhi High Court on a petition filed against the detention of former Jammu and Kashmir IAS officer Shah Faisal at the Delhi airport. Now the matter will be heard on September 12. On the affidavit of the Jammu and Kashmir government, Shah Faisal has filed his reply in the court. Faisal has challenged the central government's decision in which the government stopped Faisal at Delhi airport and sent him back to Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier in the hearing on August 23, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta was pleading in the Chidambaram case going on in the Supreme Court and was not present in the High Court in the afternoon. During the hearing, Faisal's lawyers demanded that his son and parents be allowed to meet him. After which the court said that Faisal's wife, son, and guardian can meet him, but not together.

The Central Government has also assured in the court that it will ensure that Shah Faisal's family can meet them. Let us tell you that Shah Faisal was prevented from going abroad at Delhi Airport and later was sent back to Kashmir. This incident occurred on 14 August. The Delhi High Court will now hear the matter on September 12.
