According to the report, after the Corona lockdown, physical classes started again in DU from February 17. A student of History Honors Third Year studying in Hansraj College has told that he was not given any information regarding the closure of non-veg. A second-year student studying Philosophy says that before the lockdown, the chicken was given in food, but it was not so when the college opened after the lockdown. The student told that now they are not even given eggs. A second-year African student pursuing Mathematics Honors at Hansraj College told the media that he had to leave the college hostel and move to a private PG due to dietary restrictions. The student said that food has become a problem for him. Many of them international students are non-vegetarian. The student said, 'The college is good, but due to the non-veg food ban, I had to leave the hostel.' At the same time, Dr. Rama Sharma, Principal of Hansraj College, says that we have stopped non-vegetarian food in the college campus after Corona. Those who want to eat non-veg food can go outside the college campus and eat it. About 90 percent of the students of the college are vegetarian. He said that during Corona we realized that our lifestyle is getting affected due to non-vegetarian food. Talking to the media, Principal Dr. Rama Sharma said that the college administration has not received any complaint against serving only veg food. No student has complained in this regard. Non-veg food was never served in our college canteen. Since the outbreak of Corona infection, non-vegetarian food has been stopped in the hostel.
