Delhi Police saves lives of 35 corona patients, delivers 20 oxygen cylinders to hospital

New Delhi: Delhi Police has arranged 20 oxygen cylinders on Sunday to help 35 patients of admitting coronavirus at a hospital in Nihal Vihar area of outer Delhi. The employee of Nihal Vihar police station had received a call from the director of Mansa Ram Hospital at Nangloi Najafgarh Marg around 1.30 pm.

He was told over phone that 35 patients with coronavirus are being given oxygen in the hospital, but the stock is not for more than an hour.  Police said the hospital had contacted all the concerned suppliers but could not get any response due to its deficiency. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (External) Sudhanshu Dhama coordinated with several officers and directed two teams of Nihal Vihar police station to go to Mundka and Bawana and arrange oxygen cylinders from the suppliers.

Dhama informed that "The supplier of Bawana said that there is a shortage of oxygen cylinders due to the epidemic. However, due to an emergency situation in the hospital, 10 cylinders were provided immediately and 10 more cylinders were provided after half an hour".
