New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has launched a major crackdown against the drug mafia in Mumbai. During the raid, Delhi Police seized 130 kg of heroin from Navi Mumbai. To avoid police arrest, smugglers had hidden the drugs inside bags of Tulsi seeds. A senior Delhi Police official said, the drugs were cleverly concealed in 130 jute bags. 2 people have been arrested with this huge cache of drugs. One is from Kandahar, Afghanistan, while the other is said to be from Delhi. The drugs were transported from Afghanistan to Navi Mumbai via Iran and then by sea. Earlier, the Special Cell had recovered 200 kg of heroin from Delhi and Delhi border. Worth about Rs 800 crore. The Delhi Police Special Cell has now detained a total of 9 accused in the network, including 5 Afghan nationals. A total of 330 kg of heroin has been seized from them, valued at Rs 1320 crore.
