New Delhi: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, launched by the Defence Research and Development Organisation in Delhi Cantonment, has increased more beds at Covid Hospital. A government official said on Sunday that DRDO has increased 250 more beds at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid Hospital in Delhi Cantonment. He also said that more beds will be increased in the hospital if required. DRDO added another 250 beds at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Covid Hospital at Delhi Cantonment. Earlier, in view of the decline in corona cases, drdo had closed the facility in the first week of February this year, but decided to start it in the wake of increase in cases of infection in the second wave of corona in the country. The covid hospital, launched by DRDO, will have all the beds with oxygen facility. In addition, there are a large number of ventilators which will not be charged. Basic testing facilities will be available here. Also, as per WHO standards, there will be air-conditioning. On the other hand, if there is a neuro or cardiac case, the patient will be sent to AIIMS. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said on Saturday that about 900 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours and more activities will be allowed in the city if the number of new cases continues to decline. Kejriwal had announced on Friday that the process of ending the Ahista-Ahista lockdown in the capital will begin from Monday.
