Delhi Shocker! Father-son shot at over parking issue

NEW DELHI: Following a dispute over parking, the father-son duo were shot at in northeast Delhi's Yamuna Vihar area in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, said an official. The injured have been named as Virender Aggawarl and his son Sachin Aggarwal.

Sadly, the father received injury near his chest while the son injured his hand. One person has been apprehended, police said.

The official said that the father and son had returned home after attending a marriage function when one Arif, who lives in their vicinity on rent, had parked his car at their place. "They asked him to take away his car, after which a dispute broke out between them. The situation was pacified by Arif's landlord Furkaan and other locals," said a senior police official.

However, Arif later on called his biddies and they went to the house of the victim. "The accused again started disputing with them and they opened fired in which Sachin and Virender received bullet injuries," said the official. The father-son were taken to the hospital where their condition is stated to be out of danger, the official added.

"One of the accused was apprehended by the neighborhood people, who beat him until he passed out. Officers arrived at the scene after receiving information about the event. The officer stated that the injured person was also transferred to a hospital. 

The official said, Furkaan, Arif's landlord, enjoys a close relationship with the family of the victim.Arif, the defendant, deals in the selling and acquisition of old automobiles. According to the official, who also noted that more inquiry is ongoing, he moved into the residence on rent about seven to eight months ago. More details are awaited.
