Patna: The newly married woman committed suicide by hanging herself in Arrah, Bihar. The body was found hanging in the room on Thursday morning. On information, the police took the dead body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Police have started an investigation by registering a case. It is being said that the father-in-law and brother-in-law of the deceased are absconding since the incident.
The incident is of Piparpanti village under the Krishnagarh police station area. According to the information received, Monika Devi, a resident of Ekauna village of Barhara, was married to Dharmendra Prasad, a resident of Piparpanti, Krishnagarh, on December 7 last year. He does a private job in Rajkot, Gujarat. He went to work only a few days after the wedding.
According to the mother-in-law of the deceased present on the spot, this morning she saw the dead body of the daughter-in-law hanging from the noose in the room. After that, she informed the people around. On the information of the people of the village, the police reached the spot and took possession of the dead body, and started an investigation. Police have also recovered a mobile near the dead body. At the same time, the police informed the parents of the deceased living in Delhi about the death of the daughter. SI Sandeep Kumar, who is probing the incident, said, "The body of a married woman named Monika has been found hanging from the noose. The body has been sent for postmortem. However, the cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained. Whether the deceased committed suicide by hanging himself or was murdered. Police are probing the matter."
