New Delhi: The sky remained clear in the country's capital Delhi on Saturday i.e. Today and the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain at various places in the city on Sunday. Delhi has recorded less rainfall during the monsoon so far this time as compared to last year. The heat in the city has still left people stranded. The Safdarjung Observatory recorded a minimum temperature, considered the official reading of the city, which was 28.2 degrees Celsius and was recorded at 8.30 am at 75 percent. The Met department has predicted partly cloudy conditions with light rain or thunder during the day, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius. The capital received its first monsoon season rainfall on June 27. The country's capital recorded a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius on Friday, while the maximum temperature was recorded three degrees above normal at 37.8 degrees Celsius. This time the city was expected to receive 159.6 mm rainfall between June 1 and July 15, but so far only 101.4 mm has been received.
