Demonetization: Delhi HC to hear PIL against Rs. 2000 note today

New Delhi: Today, Delhi High court will hear the petition on the new Rs. 2,000 currency notes.  Yesterday, it was alleged by the supplicant that the notification in this matter is unauthorized.

On Monday, a transfer plea was registered by the Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, before the top court looking for reside on all awaiting petitions against demonetization.

“He was not asking for a stay on the notification but seeking the government’s answers with regard to this steps taken to address public inconvenience,” said senior advocate and Congress leader Kapil Sibal, who appeared for one of the petitioner’s.
