Promise of 20 lakh jobs, Manish Sisodia presents Delhi's 'Rozgar' budget

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today presented the budget for the capital in the Assembly. In this budget, the picture of the future Delhi will be seen. Manish Sisodia also holds charge of Delhi's finance ministry. While presenting the budget, Sisodia said that last year the AAP government had presented the patriotic budget, this year's budget is our employment budget.

The Delhi deputy CM said the government's target is to provide 20 lakh jobs to the people of Delhi in the next five years. Manish Sisodia said that this is the eighth budget being presented by our government, the 7 budgets led by Arvind Kejriwal have made the schools of Delhi better, the electricity is getting better, the electricity bill of the people is coming to zero, the metro has expanded, the facility has become faceless, now people are not having to make the rounds of the government offices. 

Sisodia further said that in the last seven years, the AAP government has provided 1 lakh  78 thousand youths with concrete jobs in the government. While the previous government had given zero jobs. This year's budget is the 'employment budget'. He said that the budget of Delhi for the year 2022-23 is 75 thousand 800 crore. This is two-and-a-half times the budget of Rs 30,940 crore for 2014-15.
