The much-awaited movie of the year, Dhadak has finally hit the celluloid. As expected, the movie even before its release was stated to be compared to its original version, ‘Sairat’. From the plot of the movie to its star cast, every detail of it started being compared to its original version. Well, when you watch the movie, you realize that it is not exactly a copy of Sairat. It is an adaptation of the Marathi movie but with an entirely different flavor to it. Here are some differences, you would observe between the two movies: 1. Sairat portrays the caste difference that prevails between the male and the female protagonist of the movie. Rinku played the character of a girl who belongs to a higher caste and Akash played a guy who belongs to a lower caste. Also, in Sairat, the guy has been shown extremely poor. On the other hand, in Dhadak, both Jahnvi and Ishaan’s families hold hotel businesses. 2. Where Jahnvi’s family own 5-star hotels, Ishaan’s family owns middle-class restaurants. The cast difference isn’t talked about in the movie. 3. In Sairat, the supporting cast does not play as much of an important part while in Dhadak, each character of the movie has an important role in every twist that is contained in the story.
