CHENNAI: Director Prem's forthcoming pan-Indian movie, featuring Kannada star Dhruva Sarja in the lead, has been titled 'KD - The Devil', its makers have announced. The movie's producer, KVN Productions, which has been at the forefront of the Kannada cinema industry and has delivered back-to-back successful films, released the title teaser of the movie in a big style on Thursday at Orion Mall in Bangalore. Host of celebrities including the Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, the Sandalwood actor Dhruva Sarja, the directors Prem and Suprith, the Kannada cinema actress Rakshitha, and the music director Arjun Janya, attended the event. An introduction to the historic setting of "KD - The Devil" can be found in the title teaser. The teaser presents Dhruva Sarja's portrayal of the infamous "Kaali" on his debut appearance. In the title teaser, there is a brutal setup and heart-pounding action. Superstars from the Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema industries lend their voices to the movie's title teaser. Sanjay Dutt, Vijay Sethupathi, and Mohanlal have provided their voices for the Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam versions, respectively, while director Prem has provided his voice for the Kannada version. Director Prem spoke at the occasion and said: "Wherever there is good, there is also terrible. For instance, Ravana was around when Rama was. The movie follows a similar pattern. The movie has a romantic undertone as well as a strong moral message." Dhruva Sarja, a hero, said: "Actor Sanjay Dutt has a storied career. Although the KD teaser has a striking visual style, it is intended for a family audience. I have faith in KD, and I know that the audience will decide." Said Sanjay Dutt: "I'm incredibly excited for the movie and I wish the cast, crew, and KVN Productions the best of luck. I think I'll be working in South Indian movies more often!" Director Prem's wife and actress Rakshitha said: "Without Sanjay Dutt, the occasion wouldn't be complete. Mr. Anil Thadani is quite supportive. Dhruva Sarja's career will begin anew with this movie." Suprith, KVN Productions' Head of Business and Operations, stated: "The movie has a lot to say. For this project, Prem Sir has been thinking extremely broadly. Dhruva Sarja is the most devoted actor we could have wished for." The Hindi version will be offered by AA Films, which is run by Anil Thadani, while the Kannada version will be presented by KVN Productions. The Tamil version will be given by Red Giant Movies, led by Udhayanidhi Stalin, and the Telugu version will be presented by Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, led by Sai Korrapati. The Aashirvad Cinemas, run by Antony Perumbavoor, will screen the Malayalam version.
