Was the new type of corona virus spread by a beaver?

The Netherlands has started investigating all mink farms amid Coronavirus infection. After research of the ongoing investigation on this matter, it is believed that a person's infection is possibly spread by catching an animal.

The Dutch government said in a statement late Tuesday that Mink's screening for antibodies would be mandatory "in the interests of employees' health". A farm worker was infected with a strain. Which was genetically roaming in mink farms. Which indicates that animals were the source of infection.

The virus outbreak in the country started around April 19, when there were signs of respiratory disease on two farms located near each other in the Noord-Brabant province, close to the Belgian border. By the end of the month, 2.4% of mink had died on one farm and 1.2% on another. In research, Copamons and colleagues found that new coronavirus is caused by viral pneumonia in the mink, which can spread despite being isolated in cages with non-permeable barriers.
