Modi cabinet's big announcement, now district panchayat elections will be held in Jammu and Kashmir

The Union Cabinet met on Wednesday. In this meeting, permission has been given to conduct district panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir. On giving information in this regard, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that after the removal of Article 370, all the laws have been laid down in Jammu and Kashmir. The law for three-tier panchayat elections was made last week. Today, the Union Cabinet has approved the proposal of the District Council to conduct a direct election.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that elections will be held at the gram panchayat, block panchayat and district panchayat level. Now there will be a three-tier panchayat in Jammu and Kashmir. For this, they will also get economic power. Right now the process of election will start soon and people will select their public representatives from the franchise. The promise made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah was fulfilled.

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the three-tier panchayat election will complete the democratic system and this will bring power in the hands of the citizens. One of Kashmir's misery was that the power was not with the people, but with a few citizens. Now it has come in the hands of common people. This is a big change. It will be welcomed by the entire Kashmir Valley and Jammu. The Central Government has made big announcements for government employees. The government has announced a Diwali bonus for 30 lakh government staff.
