New Delhi: Delhi AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria said two different vaccine supplements against corona can lead to better immunity or more antibodies, but more data is needed before deciding on it. He also said that the mixed dose of the vaccine against delta plus and delta, the more infectious variants of the coronavirus, can be more effective. Talking to the media, Dr. Guleria said, 'It has been seen before - after one vaccine, the other vaccine was given as a booster. Some data show that a few more side effects were observed when a mixed dose of the vaccine was taken. Another research also suggests that it creates better immunity and antibodies.' He said the government is working on it and the results will be out in a few months. He further said, ''More data is needed on this right now. Many vaccines will be present in the country in the near future, including Pfizer, Moderna, Sputnik-V, and Zayedus Cadila. So at the moment, we don't know which mixture will be more accurate. But yes, early studies suggest that giving two different doses can be an option." Last month, the Central Government in its new vaccination policy said that scientists will study different vaccine supplements to find out if they can be effective. Dr. Randeep Guleria dismissed fears that the existing vaccine will not be effective against the Delta Plus variant. 'We need more data to come to the conclusion that the mute strain is successful in avoiding the vaccine,' he said.
