New Delhi: Due to lack of vaccine, some states are engaged in issuing global tenders for supply of corona vaccine. Meanwhile, the Central Government said that 22,77,62,450 vaccine supplements have so far been provided to states and Union Territories through free coast category and direct state procurement category. In addition, more than 4 lakh (4,86,180) vaccine doses are in the pipeline, which will be available to states and Union Territories in the next three days, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday. The ministry said more than 1,82,21,403 corona vaccine doses are still available with states and Union Territories, which are yet to be passed on to the people. Out of these, the total consumption including the damaged vaccine is 20,80,09,397. The Union Health Ministry has said that about 20,86,12,834 vaccine doses have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. Meanwhile, 1.73 million new cases of corona virus infection have been registered in the country. This is the lowest new case in 45 days. According to the Union Health Ministry, 3,617 people have died in the last 24 hours. While 2,84,601 people have also recovered from infection.
