New Delhi: Pinak Guided Rocket Launcher System is all set to demolish the nefarious designs of enemies in a new and even more deadly form. Increasing the capacity of Pinak rocket launcher system, DRDO on Saturday successfully tested its new version Pinak-ER at Pokhran range. With the success of this test, this indigenous multi-barrel rocket launcher has become more accurate and deadly than ever before. DRDO has developed it in collaboration with The Ordnance Research and Development Foundation of Pune and High Energy Material Research Laboratory. This technology has been transferred to the Indian industry sector. Pinak-ER is an upgraded version of Pinak serving in the Army. The system has been designed keeping in view the emerging needs of new technology. Built-in the name of Lord Shiva's bow 'Pinak', this multi-barrel rocket launcher is completely indigenous and has the power to thwart every enemy's intention. Tell us that Pinak has been deployed on LAC amid clashes with China on the border for nearly a year. Indigenously developed fuses for Pinak rockets were also tested. Pune-based ARDE has developed different fuses for Pinak rockets. They were first designed for construction and then the efficiency of the fuses was evaluated.
