In North Kashmir, terrorists escaped after dodging an encounter between militants and security forces in Sopore in Baramulla district. It is learnt that two Lashkar terrorists were trapped in the middle of the encounter. Security forces launched a search operation at three places in Sopore. According to reports, the terrorists fled the spot taking advantage of the darkness amid an encounter that started after a joint search operation by 22 Rashtriya Rifles, police and CRPF of the Army following an input at Warpora in Sopore on Friday. The militants fled in the middle of the night after which the operation has been suspended by the security forces on Saturday morning. According to sources, another terrorist, including mudassir Pandit, a local Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, was trapped in the middle of the encounter. After suspending the operation, security forces have once again launched a massive search operation in Rafiabad and Duru areas including Warpora after receiving inputs from the movement of terrorists in the area.
