Early cancer detection vans launched in THIS to get special facilities

Jaipur: Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma has launched the Early Cancer Detection (Preventive Oncology Mobile) van from his state residence on Tuesday. The van, which has been provided to the State Cancer Institute, will be able to conduct important cancer tests on the occasion. The van, worth about Rs 1.25 crore, came from the CSR fund of Rajasthan State Electricity Broadcasting Limited.

Dr. Raghu Sharma said that the absence of early detection of cancer is also the reason for the increasing statistics of cancer patients. He said the van will be very effective in the early detection of symptoms. The van, which is online from the State Cancer Institute in Jaipur, will go to remote villages in the state to test the patients and also provide the report at the same time. He said breast and cervical cancer are common in women and head and lung cancers in men in the country. Early detection can cure more than 90% of cancer patients completely.

The van will have facilities for mammography machines, digital X-rays, colposcopy, pap smear, and video endoscopy for head and neck checks. He said there was no preventive oncology unit in Rajasthan so far. Tele consultancy facility will also be provided from this van. At the same time, research data on people's health will be available.
